Kirin! Any ideas on how that happened?
I'm familiar with that intersection. Looks like the car is on Broadway facing west, in the east bound lane. Traffic usually goes really slow through there. You would have to be doing something really stupid to loose control, and go over the median.

Well heres what I know about this Carrera GT
Its owned locally by a guy by the name of Dick Hardt. And basically he's been seen cruising locally jetting down robson. AFAIK there is only 2 Carrera Gt's in Vancouver one is the gray one which is Dick Hardt's and anothers a silver owned by somebody at MCL motor cars. Two months ago this dark gray one got caught on the upper levels at speeds up to about 240kmh. And well since theres so many of these around. Needless to say I think it was due to to much car and to little driver brain and him hotdogging. Apparently it has to go back to germany since nobody local here feels certified(Or perhaps insured enough) to touch it. Poor rims though:(

I read about the guy on the Upper Levels Highway, Vancouver Sun sometime last month. His $400,000 car was impounded, and he was taken off to jail, faces big fines.
Maybe you should submit the pictures to WreckedExotics.com. I don't think the have any smashed up Carrera GTs yet.

if you look at the last picture there are some skid marks heading towards the curb in same direction the car is facing, he obviously smacked the curb, probably was trying to cut over to the left lane too fast and dumped it, cold tires on a cold day maybe?

one word. IDIOT.

So much metal to waste.
The one with the chopped roof and the punched in side is absolutly awful. Somewhere out there theres a story about a guy who just bought his carrera Gt and he got rearended by a kid doing a driving school.
Can you say oops!?

lets just recap dick hardt's elustrious career with just this car

-got clocked going close to 240km/h on a sunday afternoon on the upper levels highway. (not exactly the safest location to be going that speed as its not straight or flat)
-car was held in impound for 2 weeks was it?
-had already scraped up the front lip before it went to impound
-romps on it downtown all the time. spotted by numerous DOV members. (yes there is driving it like its meant to be driven. but downtown?? come on.
-now this. beaches it like a whale on the divider.

and hes had it for what??? since august? i think i saw his car in the truck mid to late july, so i assume he got it around then.

Only one place in town capable of doing a quality repair on a car like that..Korva World Class Collision...they get exotic's shipped up from Washington and as far as Alberta for them to fix!  Awsome place to go see smashed up 360\"s and 911's

good point. ;)

i guess what i was getting at is that it really sucks that a car like that has to be owned and driven and wrecked by a pos like that guy.
