Where To Get Me A Lid...
« on: December 13, 2004, 07:26:23 AM »
Hey guys.
I know some of you drag race and other forms of \"dangerous activity\". I need to pick up a motorcycle helmet/snowmobile helmet when I get back. And I'm wondering where is a good place to go since its been a long time since I've bought leather pants.
Anyways lemme know.

Thanks dude.
Sounds like I'm doing the great \"sports extravaganza\" when I get back. Might be a while till the bert gets the rims widened. But then again I will be tearing up some hills!

You could also try BestBuy or Mopac. I think they still sell the basic white ones for around $140ish. And I believe they are snell and DOT...

If you care about your melon you might want to ask if the helmet is multiple impact.
That is the difference from a 140 helm to a 800 one!

Kirin,

I've bought my share of helmets over the years, for motorcycles, and cars. My advice? Buy the BEST helmet you can afford. If you have a $10 head, put it in a $10 helmet, but otherwise, put it in a helmet that reflects what your melon is worth.

Thanks for the advice Al.
I was budgeting at least
180+ for a lid. Definatly when dealing with safety you want the best of the best. Also when dealing with your head. I don't think my 'rents would even let me buy a cheap helmet since my mom knows a \"bit\" about brain injury..

Well, after seeing the effects of dropping you on your melon several times, I'm certain she does!
