hi there, my bus interior is completely striped down right now, whats the best way to insulate it? i was thinking about just undercoating the inside where the vinyl panels go, but i know there must be a better way, any ideas?

home depot sells a foil based bubble wrap (home insulation) that alot of people use with spray adhesive.  its really cheap as well.  I used 2 layers of fatmat in my bus which is a cheaper version of dynamat.

I've layered mine with a dynamat equivilant for sound( B-Quiet). I'm also gonna go to some classic car resto places and see bout getting a thicker layer, similar more to household fibreglas this would be more for killing the dead air and adding a bit of heat maybe.

For the absolute BEST solution to making your bus quiet... i'd follow what this guy has done... great job on the site and the information! Props to him!

Good luck! I'm gonna go buy some cans of that goopy foam filler and the fat insulation today hopefully and continue working on that front  B)

I've actually used the stuff he mentioned.  Not on a VW bus but on a million dollar (private coach)[[[ LINK to pic's.  It's pricey and extremely heavy but OMG does it work.

It's owned by the Wells Fargo Bank.  No hold barred on that baby.  Park it anywhere in North America and 15 minutes later you are online at T1 Capability via satelite.  7- 42\" plasma tvs, 2-23\" LCD's. 18 15\" LCD's with keyboard and mouse,........  It's the Bomb.
