Price Question
« on: October 18, 2004, 09:06:10 PM »
What is a complete 1600 DP with dual carbs, probably kadrons, completely rebuilt and then with about a month of running in a bus, then sat for 14 years worth?

I have struck a bit of deal to pick it up in trade for some labour, and dont want to be working it off for years!

Thanks.

Chris.

I'd guess around 500 - if it turns freely and is a \"fresh\" rebuild. Do you know the guy that has it? Who rebuilt it? You'll likely have to do some minor stuff to it prior to firing it up so look at having some costs added there.

Things like oil (obviously) Plugs, wires, cap, rotor - basically I would give it a full tune up (might not be needed but for peace of mind)

If it's fresh it shouldn't need a tear down unless it has seized due to not being stored correctly.
