Trip To Octobugfest
« on: October 17, 2004, 05:01:11 PM »
Well, Just got back from Octobugfest, man I needed a shower!, anyways, been a busy year for my company so I have missed any and all out of town functions. So Geoff says, him and Jag are heading down Saturday night. Sounds like a plan to me, So me,Amanda and 76bus follow Geoff down, We get to the Hotel and Redsnapper and crew are already there, Drink was on, so we go for dinner and then decide to Hail a cab and hit the  \"Hot SPOTS\"  well all I can say is I met some very interesting people,  Gas Station guy, who needed to get a second opinoin on Geoffs ( Jim Rockford) ID, Our Cab Driver COOTER, who had a double step turbo cab, and a 9 sec 327 Cab, not too mention how he wanted Geoff to pay him.

Also met woodenleg boy ;) , and the best was when Geoff got picked up at the Bar, By a guy!.

Ok so morning came early and I was in no shape to swap, so needless to say I missed all the great deals and I think there were more Canadian's than Americans there, Also best show was in the Parking lot.
But must say I had a great time, and enjoyed the stress relief night out.

BTW forgot about Geoff leaving the Hotel with a bunch of Bud cans tied to the bus.... Wonder who did that Snapper?

Weak is right! I picked up two autographed posters, that's it. Danny slept both ways so I had good conversation as well :)

My new truck did well though, just over half tank for both ways - not bad for a V8!

I also used all of my wiper fluid due to the car in front of me loosing oil from bottoming out....

anyone get a chance to check this bus out?

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_pag...hp?pic_id=92603

it's the one ryan (shortseurocustom) was talking about in his classifieds add. looks pretty sweet to me. i like the stance w/ the empi sprintstars and the red stripe tires.

anyone see/meet darrell vittone? wasnt he supposed to be there?

also, it always seems that the best show at the puyallup fairgrounds is in the parking lot. why is that?

sounds like y'all had some fun. glad everyone made it home safely.

I scored on the swap!! (INSERT COOTER SOUNDS HERE)

The show was lacking, Jag and I spent  about 15 minutes looking at the cars in total. I hope it gets better next time around, I did not even bother taking any pictures this time.

Thanks to Shane and his better half for the transportation to and from the show!

Yeah the party the night before made the trip! I was a little upset to see 1976bus picking on a handicaped kid in the Casino. The kid had a bad limp and  some other defects and 76bus kicked him in the bad leg a number of times!!!!! Not funny.....my leg still hurts ^_^

I havent laughed that hard in a long time, from 8pm to 2am non stop laughs. Looking forward to the next trip :D

We had our own little party Saturday night while the DVKK whanabees went to all the gay bars in Seattle. I dont remember drinking so much before in my life. Atleast i stayed out of the hospital this year.
