Kirin( What Russ asked!),

Very kind of you to think of us. You should try and locate one of these, very cool, I have one already made by Panzer. Its a 12volt espresso machine--German made !!
I got this pic of a German site, if you want more info let me know.

People are always interested in Deutchland window stickers for the car-- a friend broght a couple back a few years ago, that were in German sayings.

Hey get one for 76BUS that says SHUTUP in german:lol:    ;)

I'm going to school over here for a full school year. Basically going to a Canadian school getting a ontario diploma and coming back with quite a story. I will definatly keep my eye open for you.. You might want to check german ebay and if you could find one online that would only ship within the EU I would be willing to get it here in Switzerland(Swazziland?) And bring it back home for christmas. I personally am on a hunt on a uberclean late 70s westy deluxe. hardcore search will come after christmas.. so let me know you guys.
And yes I'm bringing back chocolate...

lmao.

you ask us what we want. you say one thing only. ideas and dreams are acceptable.

and you come up with a 76 westy that you found on thesamba???

come on kirin. surely you can do better than that.

start talking to vw shops and surfing every car&trader you can find. throw on some gumboots and go for a hike deep into the swiss alps and look for that forgotten barn with the kubel in it. find the oldest, craziest switzerlander and ask them if they know of any old vw's lying around. dont be so lazy.

seriously. a westy? on thesamba?

isnt there a bmw forum you should be posting on. they're all lazy sob's over there. ;) j/k

now THAT'S comedy.

Says the lady that wants a New mini which is really a new BMW in disguise oh the irony
I know I contradicted myself but some median between practicality and wanting has to be met. And boy do you guys ever show that you can't appreciate any other car except your almight ACVW.
I should just bring home a 02 :P

Now we have had this discussion before, first if you read the title of the forum \"AirSpeed - Air-Cooled Volkswagen Community\" then you would have an almost immediate understanding as to why we talk about VW's and probably a reasonable if not great understanding as to why we love them. Apparently you have one.

But I mean really what better car is there? Your probably just too young to realize the great potential and wonders of the ACVW. But we dont think any less of you because of this, maybe we just think less of you of because.

:P:P

[CODE]Whatever 76 bus.
Its all about appreciation of other vehicles.. You do realize you are allowed to appreciate other vehicles right? Its not a Cardinal sin.. Acvws I love them but they have their real vehicle limits..
Now how bout that bay window westy..
And note to those paying attention the person who brought up the BMW thing was not I.

You missed the point, and nowhere did I say you cant appreciate other vehicles, the mistake is your assumption that we dont appreciate other cars, and assuming I was touting VW's, I simply stated the fact that this is a VW forum. I think it is great that you have an appreciation of cars other than VW's. Nothing wrong with a little bit of variety! Now me personally I would want to bring back a swamp cooler if I could find one and a spotlight that mounts behind the glass of the windshield, I forget the make of it, I will have to look it up, I think you should try and find an original VW tissue dispenser, so that you can wipe the tears from your eyes when you come home and drive your VW for the first time, you know you miss that car! :)

It's always all about the love, just ask Needles......

No no, I was bashing Beetles in general.  What I was saying was, there is no such thing as a SUPER Beetle. That covers all Bugs, not just factory super Beetles. See? Kinda??? Anyway, it was just a cheap joke.

BTW, if I were to own a Beetle, it would be a Super. Tough to pass up a proper front suspension, and a little more civility!

Yup.
Score the top with a razor blade or utility knife.
Then lay out dry ice all over the tarboard allow the cold to permeate it.
Then hammer it out with a ball peen and it should break off in hunks.
Can't take credit for that idea got it from www.my2002tii.com
