Backspacing Help!
« on: September 10, 2004, 08:45:29 AM »
Hey guys! Who knows what the stock backspacing is for a 1972 Super Beetle, front and rear wheels on drums? I've heard that it is 4\" in the front, not sure on the rear. Now, with disc brake rotors, is it correct to assume that there is an extra 1/2\" on the hub which would then make it 4 1/2\" backspacing? Please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Thanx guys (and gals)!!!   :D

backspacing is a wheel measurement.

measured from the back of the mounting surface on a wheel, to the wheel flange.
