Reason 1 : the great canadian is over and James got beat. Come spring time there will be more smack talk going down I'm sure...besides I am going to beat him in a singleport next year.
This opinion goes for mechanical hp stuff and for the Vancouver area. The few who can afford to spend more than $2000.00 on hp upgrades have done so allready, most questions have been asked and answered. Many performance engines have been built by Darren or a small circle of friends, so there are not really many questions about which parts are best. You buy what is recomended by whomever, but you are also spending more $$$ for quality stuff once.
For comparison the STF has so many people consistently asking about every aspect of motor, tranny and other building stuff because they are doing it themselves to learn or to save money and increase HP themselves. They also may live where there are 3 race tracks within a 2 hour drive and have the need for speed.
I think for the Vancouver market this forum has done excellent, but I agree lately there is more talk and less information.
Once I get all set up here I will be posting more indepth of what I am doing which may intrest many. I am a do it and make it myself kind of person and It helps to have the tools and space finally to be like this.
It is not only up to Geoff to make this forum great, It becomes great from the quality posts and content that is posted here.
