Hula Girls
« on: May 03, 2017, 12:28:39 PM »
Why on earth are Hula Girls (for your dash) so darned expensive?  I was going to buy one for my bus dash (a few for a couple of my bus dashes was my original idea) and figured Amazon would be a reasonably cheap place to get one.   They are almost all in the range of $25 - $35.   There are ones that are in the mid-$teens but then they want $10 - $20 for shipping.   I just imagined these were pretty cheap to buy.   Canadian Tire has a reasonable priced one but not sure I really like that version plus I suspect lots of people have the same one.    It's raining out and I figured this would bring some south-islands sunshine into my world and it was easier than facing welding in my new outriggers in the cold/rain.

Rant done.

I got an air freshener Hula girl from WalMart.
Smelled all right, but it's done now. Looks good. Certainly not unique, but it was cheap.

time to get crafty & fab up your own...valves for legs, old horse hair seat padding for a skirt, distributor cap upper body with spark plug wires as arms and maybe a vw emblem as a face!
