1971 Bus for Sale!
« on: April 30, 2017, 07:18:16 PM »
This 1971 was originally a 9 passenger van I think, it has a full bench seat up front and a full width bulkhead. I drove it all summer long last year but have too many projects built up to something has to go!

-4 new LT rated tires with less than 1000km on them, bought new in 2015.
-1600SP engine runs very strong, engine came from a very low hours sawmill so it has kind of a funky pulley and a small diameter 12v Generator. Needs oil cooler gaskets as it drips a bit, as well as a better carb (Comes with a carb, just not a great one, ran awesome with the old carb which is now on my beetle!).
-Brand new windshield (all one color, not the stupid half green half smoked one) installed.
-Camperized interior, has the side closet, bed that folds up into a bench seat, folding table, side seat etc. Not installed properly but comes with most of the hardware to do so, as well as the shelf that sits above the bed and lacerates your forehead if you aren't paying attention.
-Floors decent, has a few spots of fiberglass on the front floors and in the cargo floor but not bad could easily be patched.
-Frame perfect, light surface rust but nothing even remotely scary especially near the torsion bars in the back.
-Front right side was in an accident at some point, I bumped it out a bit but will need more work (you can see it in the close up picture).
-Rocker panels going, as evidenced in picture. Appears to be just the outer rocker, inner part and sliding door track are all fine.
-Comes with a selection of slightly crappy door panels for the front that I never got around to installing, 2 of them have the plastic vent dealie on them in decent shape.

Looking for $3500 OBO!
Any questions or comments fire away! Bus makes a great driver and camper as is!

Price drop to $3000 or I keep the engine and it's $2500!

seems like a decent deal for a turnkey lowlight bay camper that you could drive & enjoy & camp in all summer and fix up along the way! i'm at max capacity but if i had the space i'd serioulsy consider it!

good luck with the sale!
