Well I was working with some big horsepower today . I build saw mill equipment . The big horsepower was not VW I'm afraid we are building at my work a gang saw unit with 24 saws in it .My 10 hour shift was to mount 4  electric motors on drive bases and mount on to machine and start to install belt drives .Heres the specs thought you might find them intresting Each motor weighs                 1800 lbs
                                               460 Volts
                                               400 hundred horses
Completed unit with chip heads and other goodies 28,000 lbs
Thank god for cranes and slings

Thought this would be good topic to see what other people do?
Have a good weekend Outkast :)
See you in a week

My work day would inclued making some small little enclosure or bracket or fancy front panel for the electronics that would control something like that.

Me I personally am unsure as to what I do, I know it's a UNION job, but I dont really do much. Actually I am a technician at some large company that should be named PAYUS for charging 95 cents just to ask about a phone number.

My day starts around 7:00...i work for pacific blasting and demolition..
right now im doing 6 10 hour shifts..will be that way for the next 4 months i would say..basicly me and 2 other guys are cutting up the \"wood sort\" of the crofton norske canada mill..basicly lots of having fun and hanging out and breakin stuff at the same time..my job sucks in the winter though..

i just completed a demo on the versacold ice plant..and when im done this mill i have to do another mill in port albernie..then one in gold river.

Demolition rules! breakin windows rocks!  :mullet:

(PS..came home for the weekend to pack my stuff for the long haul..might get back for GCVWS...hope to see ya there.)

Startin' at 5:30 I roll my lazy ass outta bed, walk into a few walls and make it out to UBC by 7.  Get in Fire up the Particle accellerator then accelerate some 13 MeV protons into some junk.  Hit stuff with a hammer and turn some screws. Then around 3 pack it up and head home.
