Do you remember Westwood Motorsportpark?

I've been to a few races over the years when it was still up and running.... great location, and lots of fun!

My brother took me when I was 10 or so, I was so excited to go. It was a very cool track and in our own back yard. Shame it was turned into housing 🙁

My favourite spot was between Deers Leap and the Hairpin It wasn't a big track so when Camaros raced it got pretty tight.

went there all the time raced go karts out there when i worked for yamaha motorcycles. watched a endurance race with a bug in the race he blew the motor on the back side off the track by him self (driver)borrowed a 4x4 and took another motor to the car and installed it he wasnt aloud any help and finished the race.he needed a rear main seal but nothing open, i was there with my 73 super they asked they could take the seal out of my car, yes as long as i get home at the end of the day then someone showed up that worked for vw dealer close by and went and grabbed one awe some day thanks for the memory back forgot all about this

I still have a green Westwood sticker on the back bumper of my Ghia. If anyone's interested, local historian Tom Johnston did a great book on Westwood history.

i worked at carter honda shop when steve dick was reigning superbike champion
was able to take a few laps on some pretty unique rides .
good crazy fast times .

those guys on 2 wheels on pavement are nuts
