Hey there,
I still have the list of things that they checked if you want I could email it to you. As James said I thought it was going to be a diffacult experience but they took the car in for 1/2 an hour, took my money and we were done. As James said they will check for rust, they will put the car up on a hoist, and check out the floor pans/heater channels etc, so as long as your car is structurally sound you shouldn't have a problem. They also checked my engine to make sure I wasn't leaking any oil, and that all the fuel lines etc were hooked up right. They checked my transmission to make sure all the gears worked, they checked my suspension system, braking system, electrical. Basically everything you would want to work anyway. I can't make any recomendations as to where to take the car as we did our inspection on the island. Maybe Russ could suggest someplace cause he brought his 57 home from Cali and he was who instructed me as to the import/export process when I originally started thinkign about this (thanks again Russ). I took my bug to a heavy transport place and they seemed so excited to see a bug that I think there were lax with us a little bit. Anyway let me know if you need the list or have any other questions. Good luck!
Anna
