Hey Russ, try the resturant in Queen Elizabeth Park.

No contest: Cafe de Medici - 1025 Robson St.
Took my girl there  about 10 years ago, and she still raves about it. Had our 5th wedding anniversary on Sunday, and I shoulda taken her back.  No live music, but great food, and pretty darn romantic.

I've had two different people rave to me about Lumiere, on West Broadway in Vancouver.

Their words \"Expensive, but fantastic\"

So bring your Visa and put that project back a couple of more months :D

Had to add one more

Hy's Encore
637 Hornby
Vancouver, BC

I've been there a couple of times. Steak is the specialty, it's a cool place nice and dark with a huge fire oven for lighting

yup, this place is awesome.

I'd also suggest griffins in the vancouver hotel.  Very low key and private, high class, well priced, and the service is excellent.  nice and romantic too with candles & dim lighting.

congrats on the up coming step in your marrige!
