Looking for a drivers side heater box, doesnt need to be perfect, I will fix it, and possibly a drivers side exhaust manifold. Let me know whaty you got.

I'm sure Eddy @ the Bug Shop has a shit-load of repairable ones laying in,around, and on his shop. He probably has his dog tied to one right now. :lol:
Try giving him a call if nothing else works out for ya.

Hey Chris ,  I looked and looked but I can't find that heater box . Try Eddy .  But I'm sure I have the seat thingy and valve covers .

Chris, they wont work. They have different flanges for the exhaust ports

Actually , they might work . Chris , you don't have the  79 and up sqaure port heads do you?   If not  ,  a pair of  1.7's should bolt on but you will need the lower tin work and muffler to match .  This is actually a common conversion .

not that I am aware of, its a 76, original motor as best I can tell.

I guess seeing me must have made the ol memory kick in.  ;)  I'll try and get a pic over the next few weeks. I do have v/c from a 1.7 as well will those work??


Do you know if 2L pistons will fit in a 1.7 or 1.8 block or do I need to do some serious machining???
