wow! outstanding racing and serious congrats to that race team for pulling that off!

which also brings up some interesting points...richie webb posted it as "the quickest rear engine air-cooled door car in the world"...i guess these days with so many builds/combos/rules one needs to get specific about what it actually is (example, wouldn't the nail from the lauffers be the quickest air-cooled in the world?). another point that was brought up in that thread was that the pro-mod guys "have their hands tied" by restrictions that keep them from running numbers like pety from brazil? why bother with restrictions? pety just raised the bar...let's see if someone can beat it!  :cool:

ps...i know building a car to race pro-mod makes sense when the class is local and competitive and there are rules & regs to follow...but maybe these new numbers will inspire someone to go bigger/better/quicker/faster!  :cool:

i was checking that out last night as well
unbelievable and very well done
151 mph in the 1/8th
and it appears to be 100 % street legal
