« on: July 22, 2004, 07:47:27 PM »
Yup , taking the family down to Dissy Land next week and ofcourse I want to enjoy my vacation too so I want to check out as many VW type stores and shops  etc. as I can.  So far I plan to check out........
-Bergs with hopefully a shop tour..
-DKP meet at Sonic burger..

So what else is near by that I can check out?
Anyone know how far VW paradise is from dissyland?
Any cool engine or trany shops?
Any tips from anyone who has been down there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

On July 31, VW Trends is doing another Dyno Day at Magnaflow.  Its east of I5 by Laguna Hills IIRC.

VW Paradise is a good hour away near Carlsbad. You can go to BFY, Kimco,Fat, Custom1, and a bunch of others as they are all in a close area.
Fat has not much there as Bergs only has a small display but a good shop tour.
The others have more store/product.
Have fun and make sure you use the Disneyland fast pass to go on rides.

Hi Hans!
A couple of other places popped into my mind. Vee Dub Parts Unlimited and Roger Crawford's Heads Up Performance.
Vee Dub is competative with their pricing.
Sometimes Roger likes to show off the new toys in his shop. There are also a few VW shops down the street from Heads Up.
Pick up a current issue of Hot VWs, and then you'll have some addresses, and see who has what on special.  It's good to know your prices before you go.

Thanx for all the info so far Guys.  Unfortunately I'm not able to go shopping for stuff. Besides ....I'd buy at air speed if I could anyway.
Just want to checkout places etc. Dyno day will be awesome!! Didn't know about that one.
