Relining Brake Shoes

Does anyone know of an outfit anywhere in western Canada that relines brake shoes?

I think it was Bruce that mentioned DV Aldous will also reline clutch discs - tell them it's for a forklift and I think you can still get good ol' asbestos too if that's your thing.

I think senco bought dv Aldous, so its the same place now

D V Aldous dropped the ball twice for my dad a few months back ,
he had some special woven brake material shipped in from england , took it to DV  Aldous to have it intalled on some 1930s austin brake shoes , when he picked them up , they had installed some typical hard brake material . They insisted it was the material he had brought them , a blatant lie !!! and of course now the car wouldn't stop with the new material because its got mechanical brakes . Went back again and thats another story , having to reorder the woven material all over again. Wont be going back there again. Even if they mistakenly used his specially ordered material ( which wasn't cheap with shipping charges etc ) on another set of shoes or lost it entirely I would have assumed a better story than : they installed what he brought them because it wasn't true. Bush league for a business thats been around so long. I guess they figured they could buffalo him because he was a senior .

the orig owners sold out, she had to be 90!!! the new owners are not the same kind, but they are learning, Not protecting them at all, its def not the same place it used to be! but where else do ya go?

and yeah Im not sure where else you can get them done but in a city as big as vancouver you'd think maybe ....

There used to be lots of places, but sadly it's easier to slap on a new set of Chinese whatevers because the customer doesn't care, they just want it fixed now. Call some forklift repar outfits and see if they have anyone who does clutches for them anymore.
