also, does anyone know where the park in question is located in Kelowna?

there is a few guys here in town I am trying to convince so i'll come with a p.an on where and when to meet at some point in the very near future phil. hopefully it'll be a little cooler next weekend so I have can drive and not tow my beetle to kelowna

so preliminary plans are to meet at the bakery on main street summerland at 9.30. on the sunday. I expect you to make it too AL, otherwise I'll be the only type 1 in the crowd.

its 11am till 4pm on this sunday at the Kelowna city park ( the one by the bridge). its put on by OKVW, which is on facebook

So do cars need to register or just show up? Have to be a club member? I may bring a couple cars if I can find someone else to drive one. ( not spectacular cars) just fun drivers.seems you have to be a facebook member to get much info

Couldnt hang around much but I did make it with the buggy. Some pretty cool stuff there. Anarchy al , if you were car 11, that may be the coolest bug ive ever seen

gonna post some pics here later this week, but a pretty good turn out for k-town. for the cruise up we had 2 baywindows, 2 splitwindow busses, and 2 beetles. Al led the cruise from summerland to Kelowna with his beetle, which I think had about 2mm of ground clearance! lots of watercooled, but only about a dozen aircooled, with a few audis, bmws and a lone Porsche. lots of quality cars, and I can't remember seeing so many clean mark 1s in a long time!

Had a great day and met lots of cool people. One little hiccup on the drive to the show, but all was good. Here are my few pics from the day.

I only took a few. I think about 50% of the air cooled cars at the show were our crew. Where was everyone? The best part of the day for me was the drive. Parking and polishing just doesn't cut it.

I had a feeling I missed a show... Just moved to B.C (Prince George area) and need to be brought up to speed as to where the events and VW folks are... Nice pics!
