Generator pulley near Penticton?
« on: July 02, 2014, 12:46:36 PM »
Just days after the Kelowna swap and the end of the CIP 20% sale, my generator pulley fell apart (type 1). Does anyone close to Penticton have one I can buy or borrow as I'm too cheap to buy a new one and pay shipping and too lazy to drive up to Al's in Kelowna for one. It's worth a try.

Cheers

Made the trip to see Gordo yesterday and he accepted liquid currency for the pulley. Cheers Gordo. This is what happened to the other one, there are cracks all over it that the camera didn't pick up.

When I had my overheating issue some of my online research pointed to try over spinning the fan with either a 356 pulley or using extra spacers and running a shorter belt lower down in the pulley. It didn't seem to like it, but now my cooling is under control I can go back to the stock set up.

Gordo wanted me to paint the new pulley before I put it in, as he's a bit of a buffer. So I did.

looks good. I meant to put on a couple of racing stripes(can still be put on) even though I bet the yellow paint gives you at least ten more HP.

Cheers

10 HP at least. You have had the California look, so this is the Chernobyl look.
