« on: December 16, 2013, 10:38:46 AM »
Some of you may remember the villan from the Gerbie movie driving the " Thorndyke special"
It was a Apollo GT, the bodies built by non other than Intermeccanica.

It has now been found and restored..

wow. what a great story. cool car, great find and nice work on the restoration!!

very neat to learn a little more history about intermeccanica too!! I had no idea about it's origins in Italy and the other cars they built. does henry know about this particular thorndyke story?

...I have to be honest. The 5-yr-old me is super stoked on this.

Though, I'm a little disappointed. I would have 'restored' it with at least one piece of body damage from the movie. Either that, or hire a black bear to hang out in the car at shows :P
