with that factory radio you can tune in 80's soft rock OR cbc radio one. well, o.k., cbc might not come in if you're more than 100 yards from the broadcast antenna.

anyone else rember going on road trips in b.c. and having decent radio cut out the second you crossed the port mann towards langley?

does that question say how old i am?
the customer is always wrong

Actually. Just wanted to know how to mount a speaker in the dash....it's for a 69 baywindow bus...they have one for sale at cip but it is for a earlier model with the mounting brackets.  Not sure if it will work for mine since its not a metal dash.   Anyone want to let me know.  Or do I just drill in the plastic.

Here's what the OG (or at least OUSA dealer install) bracket looks like, it fits into slots under the dash and is held up with a single screw between the defog vents (73+ uses a similar one with cutouts on each side for the bigger defog vents).

If you aren't a stock nazi black zip ties or small nuts and bolts colored with a jiffy marker or paint do a good job of holding the speaker directly against the underside of the perforated part of the dash and are hard to spot if you aren't looking for them ;) .
