Anyone know this Bug for sale?
« on: April 13, 2013, 12:13:53 PM »
Hi Guys - hope you don't mind me jumping in here asking for help from across the Atlantic! Dave Hord suggested I ask on here as you are the guys in the know in the Vancouver area :-)

I'm in the UK but my cousin lives in Abbotsford and her daughter has seen this '73 Convertible for sale in Langley. They know nothing about Bugs, and as my job in UK is selling parts for them and I've been playing with the for 27-years, of course they ask me if it is any good and worth the $3500 asking price - difficult to know of course from a few pics and many-thousand miles away!

So, do any of you know the car, and if so then what condition is it in? They don't want a project money-pit, they want one their daughter can have some fun in without too many problems.

If any of you know it and have any comments on its condition underneath then I'd be glad to hear. I've already told them what to look for underneath but I'm not sure they know, so Dave's also suggested some places who could have a look for them and also look after it if it needs work ("if"?? Of course it will - it's 40yrs old!)

Many thanks for any help you can give :-)
