While having lunch at Lenny Copps during the Classic we met some new people. As were sitting there 4 guys and one girl sit down with JHC shirts on. The conversation soon turns to the JHC and where were from and who know's who.
These were the originators of the JHC and were all very cool and funny. We had a good laugh about Hastings st and other topics related to the JHC. One guy had a large JHC so cal tatoo :o

Anyway they all seem to be good people and look forward to meeting them again (good thing James wasnt with us) :blink:

Just sick of all the hate. Since I know all you guys aren't exactly saints either(Not pointing any fingers!). Plus I plan on dishing out some of those infamous Pointblank hugs on saturday..

I know I'm not a saint either and I'm the first to admit it. We all have done stupid stuff as Kids and adults. And I'm sure if you looked hard enough there would even be a few people that disliked you to. Really if the local aircooled community wants to keep being known as being friendly we really shouldn't have haters club. Because who knows next week there could be a KHC or a SHC or  Or  HHC..
Just I'm trying to say we should keep the spirit up and take the higher road and not encourage it.

Personally, I dont know one single person who dislikes Matt. He also has the nicest breasticles I have ever seen!!  :lol:  The JHC club is against people who give bad advise. There are alot of them. Basically Kirin, what I feel they are trying to say is; if you dont know what your talking about, shut up.

I do agree on the bad advice bit. But heres the problem With the internet and forums has come the ability of people to read things and basically think they know what their doing(I'm only dangerous if I know what I'm doing!) People have become\"Overnight\" Experts just by reading a forum.. Hence the start of  bad advice and the amount of it. There is no solution but take everything with a grain of salt... And check your sources.
And I don't even think I want to know what the hell a breasticle is :ph34r:

i think the biggest misconception about the jhc is that they hate. they dont. they call bullshit. they step up and confront a person/persons/business that is giving bad advice or providing poor quality parts etc, and correct them on it. they dont put up with liars, cheaters, beggars, bullshit and refuse to be taken advantage of or mistreated. aswell they will help you and i in a situation if needed. i spend quite a bit of time on www.thesamba.com forums and i'm constantly reading and hearing from jhc members. all of them constantly provide quality information and answer tons of other peoples questions. all of them have stepped up and taken hits, when everyone else was afraid of confrontation. some of them are very well respected individuals in the vw community, and others are hobbiests. the jhc has members from all walks of life.

just because they have the word \"hater\" in their name, does not mean that they hate. remember that.

and i'm tired of hearing all this vw community is friendly, we're all hippies, come join our love in bullshit. does that mean that all the other car clubs/communities are mean? thats what it sounds like. dont buy a vw because there is a \"hater\" club? thats like saying dont buy a harley davidson because there are the hells angels. wtf. i believe that you participate because you enjoy the vehicle. you enjoy wrenching, cruising, drag racing, autocrossing( :wacko: ), restoring and being in and around vw's and others with similar interests. there are bad apples in every bunch. it's inevitable.

Unfortunatly Hate has such a \"mean\" connotation. We don't all have to love each other and wear tye-dye and so on and so forth. But can't we all get along :P  You got me figured out for why I like my car... But Whats this about not liking autocross? Don't like going left and right :lol:

oh shit, this weekend. i guess i better get on that. gotta find out how to get there. i've never been and would surely like to support the dglvk and their first event.

when i think of autocrossing, i think of dodging cones in a parking lot. i'm sure there is alot more to it, but thats my take on it. my passions are drag racing first (even tho i've never raced) and offroading second. i like to go fast and i like to get dirty. to each their own. different strokes for different folks.

unfortunately, alot of words in our vocabulary have negative or mean connotations. i believe that sometimes we must de-sensitize ourselfs and not be so uptight about what is said and done. dont get me wrong here. we need some boundaries, but we we need to lighten up too.

oh ya, i love matt to. not that huggy kissy kind of love. but that \"hey man how's it goin, did you see that game\" kinda love. nowattameen! :lol:
