cool story with some incredible canadian acvw history! sure it's rough, but i think it's awesome that this bus is even still around!!

it looks like it's around all over the yard! I was trying to decide at what point is it past a restoration? When you still have a hubcap... pan and body as long as there's still some original metal? The 38 beetle on the samba just posted some new photos of the build, not much of it was original...

depends on who you are and how you view the vehicle in question, i guess.

imho, a big part of it comes down to the significance of the vehicle. vw38 is a no brainer. the 1st canadian deluxe bus...damn straight. sure those cars have/will have lots of replacement panels/etc, but where do you draw the line? personally, i dont really care. historically significant vehicles deserve to be saved, even if it's just built around a vin tag and bits of scrap metal. build it baby!! :cool:

yep. for sure Silas. Do it if you have the time and resources! I've never questioned the want to do it... i'm there. Thinking about it further... as long as there's a significant part of the original vehicle, it's still the original vehicle! Unless it's been in someones shop and NEVER touched, nothing is going to be original. ;)
