I often come across odd old photos... might be fun to have a thread....

Do you think the cop was checking the timing?  ;)

Here's a great shot From Doug Blackie

first Porsche delivered to Blackie & Jewett  (circa '57 from the plate - and I think the first Porsche in BC)...on the docks in New West...

The beetle is there to give an idea of the size of the machine gun.
The GAU-8/A is extremely accurate and can fire 4200 30mm rounds per minute. Weighs just over 4000 lb.

It's an insane world out there... and I'm proud to be part of it!

We had high priced colour slides back when we lived in Montreal, I think this is my dad's 64 beetle, could be 1967?

No kidding!

Amazing that cheap repro parts were around back then too, the body looks awesome but the front bumper is rusting and the running board is FUBAR.

its from knocking cars off the road in high speed chases, and the running boards are clearly the outcome of small feet steve, hanging out there taking shots at the badguys....

clearly

Burrard Inlet 1965-66..............I'm sure a few of you have owned some of these cars. Maybe that's VWShawns Blue one near the camera :-)

Looks like that ship has an Iron Cross on the funnel.
