WTB: 2.0L heat exchangers/heater boxes
« on: February 17, 2012, 02:34:26 PM »
I am looking for a pair of heat exchangers/heater boxes in fair-good shape for a reasonable price. Mine are rusted out at the exit flange and need some in better shape. I have a 78 bus, so need some that will fit that era (76-78, I think?)
Please reply here/PM me or email me at: roberts.sw AT gmail.com

I'm in Victoria, so "pictures are worth a thousand words" for me

Thanks

You might want to tell the good folks on this site that you have a 78 bus.

As well you might want to check the connecting elbows and control boxes at the front of the heater boxes as well and see how sound they are.  How is the rear crossover pipe too?  Many times I've seen repairable heater boxes but the other parts are toast.

And don't forget that 72-74 heater boxes will fit your bus as well with a different muffler.

Good luck

Edited my post to include the year. I didn't think about the control boxes,I'll check those out as well.
I just bought everything from behind the heater boxes, so I would like to keep it stock and not use early bay heater boxes.

THanks :)
