Thats right, I have a new driver as of yesterday. Well it's not driving yet but i did buy the ugliest and worst car VW made.....a 4dr 411 (411 is the fastback style for those who dont know)
This weekend I should have it slammed and some wheels on it. i'll post pic's as i go

If you have any cool (ok maybe not cool) pic's of these ugly cars fixed up post them. There was a nice wagon at the classic in green with wood panels and brms.

Dan, Airspeed motor may go in tonight if i can get it. The 411 will be a saturday project. Maybe pull the struts and see what needs to be done to get it on the ground. Maybe add some 16x6 alloys?

damn geoff, when you said 411, i immediately thought of the woddy 411 that oldbug.com used to have. i've actually seen that car for sale on thesamba, then you show the pic of it. i thought you'd bought it.

imo, that is a sweet car. bags, wood panneling, the whole surf look.

I was at Ralphs autowrecking on Mitchel Island last week and saw a really clean 412 there. I immediately thought of you. Is this the car you got?

NO they are not the same the 412 has a different ODOR of burning oil coming from the heater boxes than the 411.
Tried it, didn't like it, wouldn't do it again! Kinda like bumpin' yer head!! wayne

411 came in 3 body styles like the 412. You just got the uuuuggggggliest possible version in the 4 door.

If you take the springs out of the front and the back, it will set level kinda. But it still won't be very looooooooow. There was one at Puyallup this year out in the parking lot like that.

I think the one I saw was blue. It had a bit of damage at the very front edge of the front hood, preventing me from opening it.
