well my 58 came with only the rear veiw mirror its from sask and guess they didnt have the two mirror rule, i heard or read that mirrors were dealer installed and the pointy caps came installed from the factory over the threaded part of the hinge pins, and were discarded like a empty pack of cigerettes i had only ever saw the one that was on my 58 and have looked since then for ones in better condition then mine, as i will be running a talbot mirror,
the guy i bought these off of sent with them the smaller plug that he told me was installed in a rearveiw mirror head, i guess at one point the passenger mirror was an option and the dealer would pop this plug out and install the rod on the other side, this im not sure of ive never seen a head like that ive seen the dgbm ones that get sandwiched behind the head but never a hole in the accual casting, he told me this one came from a 58 and it could make sense as ive never looked at one and mines a standard so none anywhere lol
