66 SO-36 (Dormobile) SO-42 Westfalia

 This is a “Tourist delivery” SO-42 that was special ordered with a Dormobile elevating roof (SO-36 option). Being a “Tourist delivery” makes this bus very special. Tourist delivery SO-36’s were unique in window configuration and also used the “Privy” side tent longer (other Westies went to the “big top” style tent in 65). This bus is m-coded for a locking steering column, a gas heater, and belly pans. It has Westfalia paint code 523 538 for Cumulous White over Sea Blue. Tourist delivery Westfalia’s also had full wood headliners (standard Westfalia’s had grey roof panels in the front). The bus comes with it’s original SO-42 interior (SO-42 # 6000 - cool even number right in the middle of SO-42 production), and all the parts that came off the bus appear to be still with the bus. It does not have the rear wood floor, dorm roof vinyl, or side tent. $8000 Price is firm
