WTB small body 12v generator

i am looking for a good working early small body 12v generator for christine's ghia
life without racing..is no life at all

6V generators aren't 12V.

He's looking for a 356/912 small diameter 12V generator.  They are the same dia as an early VW 6V generator, but are 12V instead.

whatabout a rebuild? i had a 6v small body swaped into a 12v unit just by bringing it to a shop willing to take the time to find the parts or is it just to far gone?

the 6v on her car works well just would like to convert the ghia to 12v so its a bit safer for her to drive

The last one I bought came from Stoddard about 3 years ago for a 356 engine. Previous to that, I bought one from Gene Berg.
