Hello Folks,

I am on the search for a rear axle for my beloved Westfalia. Basically, if anybody has a parts van, they axle should still be there as this is generally a part which never wears out. My van is 1972, but I am sure that the axle will be the same for all Type 2's from 1972 to 1979.

These parts are not sold aftermarket anywhere. In fact, I phoned the Volkswagen dealership and the rear axle and wheel hub do not even have a part number.

I need these to put back on my camper van so I can go on my honeymoon in just over a month. If you have a parts van, or know anybody with a parts van, please let me know. If the back tires are still on the bus, it means that the rear axle is still there. I would truly be grateful to anybody who can help me out with this so I can take my bus on the roadtrip of a lifetime.

Please let me know if you have a van with the parts to spare, or if you know someone, possibly a friend, neighbour, workmate or anybody who might have a vus just rotting away in a field somewhere.

I will come to you, where ever you are.
