This is a total shot in the dark, does anyone know the name of a VW shop that would have been open in Courtney from the 50's to the 70's? It's gone now, but I was hoping to contact the old owner to see if he kept his records. My grandmother spent her whole life in the valley, and every single one of her cars was a bug, bought from that dealership. She sold them all back to the owner when she came in to trade up for the next model. I think she had a oval, early 60's and a super over the years. The last one was light blue, remember seeing it as a kid, but she sold it before her grandkids got old enough to drive, didn't want any of us getting in an accident in a "death trap"
. She's old and on her last legs in the comox hospital, I'd love to try to track down her old cars, fix 'em up and keep them in the family.
