Turbo Exhaust/coatings.. What Holds Up?
« on: May 18, 2004, 06:02:40 PM »
hey everyone..spent the day messing around with the car again..
got my turbo exhaust ready to go..i was planning on having it ceramic coated..

but i wanted to know if the ceramic coating will hold up to the heat of the turbo exhaust system..or if its better to leave the tubes Raw..or use a high temp paint..or just header wrap..

and if i was to have it ceramic coated..would there be any problem in having the tubes done after say the motor has run for a break in period? or does the metal need to be fresh?

thanx
Cale

Ceramic is the way to go!

Wraps will prematurly rust your pipes, high temp paint is for BBQ's and there will be less prep/money involved if the pipes are \"fresh\"

the coaters wont want to work with a used header
think of all the carbon on the inside they have to get rid of
