Dry Sump Help?
« on: March 05, 2011, 01:27:13 PM »
Wondering if anyone here has experience with Dry Sump setups for Type 1?

Specifically I'm wondering about:

- CB Dry-Sump pump vs. the Bugpack unit...advantages/disadvantages of both units. (can't find anything on the Samba or simliar)

- Oil Line Sizing. My current setup uses -8AN lines for the full flow oil setup, but I understand that to ensure proper oil pressure you need to offer about 3x the supply to the pump. So as I understand it I'll want to modify what ever pump/tank I get to run a -12AN feed line to the pump, and -8AN following. Right?

-Dave

(for those who are wondering, the next project can't use a deep sump, thus I have to use a dry sump system)
