Strictly German Cruise - March 20th/2011
« on: February 23, 2011, 12:59:22 PM »
Hello all,
Strictly German Volkswagen Association will be holding it's first official meeting on March 20th/2011, and would like to invite everyone out for a cruise immediately following.  We will be leaving the Walnut Grove Boston Pizza parking lot shortly after 4 PM (weather permitting), and will cruise from Langley to White Rock Beach via 200th St. to 8th Ave, then West.  It's a Sunday AND the first day of Spring!  Hopefully this is the push you need to get your project finished, get you out of the house, or get your ACVW insured.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Thanks, and we hope you all had a great Winter.
  Darren and Chris.

I am bummed that I will miss the first event but I will console myself by spending the day on the beach in southern Brazil.   :P.  I hope everyone has a good and safe time.  Spring is almost here.

what's the threshold? rain...? snow...? just curious.

If there is the slightest hint of precipitation, we will be putting the cars in humidity-controlled trailers and towing them . . . . .

I thought we were all loading our cars on trailers, having the meeting, and then hauling them down to White Rock Beach and THEN unloading them?
Really we have to drive them?  :'(

why all this talk about "towing" and "loading and unloading"....?

if you get humidity controlled, glass enclosed, hover trailers you wont have to worry about all that!!

so...i'm still a little confused (i know...it doesnt take much these days... ;D)

weather permitting, hoping for dryness and some funny remarks about trailer queens and having to drive in a little precipitation is a little vague imho.

will this cruise happen rain or shine?

not trying to be a dick (allthough i'm pretty good at it  ;)) just trying to get some clarity for myself and maybe a few others that might have to drive +/- 1hr just to get to the starting line!

I understand where you're coming from Silas.  I'm insuring my car next week, and will be driving it on the 20th, rain or shine.   ;D  If it rains, I'm just hoping someone will help me blow dry it when I get it home to my garage.    lol_hitting
Hey SGVWA!  Anybody else driving rain or shine?  'Looks like we got 3 people for sure.  Chime in please.   :D
