I have done this lots on my last truck. Easiest and quickest way to seat the bead on 37x 13.5 tires on a 10" wide rim. Works very well, the valve core has to be out of the stem and you just have to be quick with the air hose or the tire just pops off the bead again. I use ether and you dont need very much.
