as far as posting more pics...just do what you did when you posted the first pic in this add...it worked great! or host pics on another site (thesamba, photobucket, flickr, ect) and you should be able to cut & paste the img link here as long as the img tags are at the beginning & end of the link.

hey rob...unfortunately i'm not in the market for another car & cant think of anyone in particular off the top my head that is looking...the list of new parts used is great but imho a few more points that could be brought up about the car would include...

...a list of what needs to be done to finish this car and make it a driver? status of motor (rebuilt or og, size, internal/external components, kms, etc)? trans (rebuilt or og, etc )? electrical (new or og, works or not)? rebuilt chassis or og (brake lines, fuel line, beam, rear suspension, etc)? welding on the body or metal replaced? clear title in your name? mostly just an idea of the work that has been done to the car and the work that needs to be done to get it aircared & insured to drive!

good luck!

JUst to follow up with Silas,

The car is a driver right now, its 1600 that runs good, took her up 55 mph down the front street, stopped so i guess thast good too. As for components in the motor you got me, it cam with the car when i bought it years ago, cant say i spent alot of time talking to the guy about the motor, it looks like a new carb on it, other than that standard parts. Transmission shifts into all gears good, i never did anything with it or the rest of the drivetrain. All the electrical works like its supposed to with the exception of i cant get the horn to honk, i have tried a couple of things. Its got all new floor pans and i think all the fenders are italian replacements. The title is clear and in my name and currently i just have a storage permit on it but, bring the transfer paper and it can be in your name just like that.

Thats about the some of it.

Cheers
Rob

It's a pretty tough market right now unless you're selling something really special or different. It seems not much is selling even if priced well. It seems to be picking up a bit though. IMO it may be priced a bit high, but I don't doubt that you have more than that into it. I don't reccomend coming down in price too much as it really doesn't seem to be about pricing....it's just the market. A quick glance at the car....I think the white fender beading dates the car, as does all the white on the wheels. Personally I would switch the fender beading to black, & lose the Porto-walls. IMO that would improve the car a fair bit without having to put out a lot of money. Have you done some comparison pricing on the Samba? I've never been real good at pricing beetles. Good luck with the sale

The right person will come around for it, im not cash strapped just garage strapped.
As for the tire/wheel combo
No porto walls on this ride, $1000 worth of BFG Silvertowns including the spare. Its not a hood ride.

I'll just throw my opinion in.... first, nice looking car! But in my experience, something that looked a little custom would not sell, not even a sniff. When I took the wheels back to stock, and put normal signals on, I had three calls immediately, got sold in two days! I'm assuming the car is a deluxe, although looks like a standard from the outside, maybe it's the non chromed trim windows?
Again in my opinion, the people with money either want something to race, and have it look the part, or stock!

When i bought the car just the body was done, i picked it up and dropped it off at my dads garage on the island. Everything else on the car the interior etc i did when i visited the island hece why it took me so long to get it finished up. I have receipts for everything that i did, on the car with the exception of the powder coating of the wheen which was done by the guy on this site that works at the powdercoating shop in Langley (sorry i forgot your name) ans the tires i think i gave it to the fellow when he bought my set of Coker Whitewalls. As for the window trim, the previous owner put the black rubber in, i prefer the chrome myself, i have a second set of glass for the rear quarter windows, but would need a new kit for the windshiel and rear window.
