While spreading the VW gospel at icbc today getting coverage for my bus herad about this guys dad owning a 61 Kombi uesd on the farm and served him well .He said someone eventually took motor and trans for buggie .

asked about van shell for parts . Seems there was a low spot on the long driveway that filled with water all the time UGHHHHHH! he buried it with a drainage pipe going through it as drainage pit . Again UGHHHHHH
He remarked [ good german steel should be still there ] GREAT! Oh well not all stories end as well, this farm find is going to stay on the farm for ever
Went home and started cleaning parts for my van motor and had a beer !
