cyl head temp sensor opinions wanted!
« on: June 29, 2010, 08:48:54 PM »
i'm putting my new flycut, ported and polished heads on my beetle this thursday. any reccomendations on where to put my cyl head temp sensor? i used to run it off my sparkplug and it was a pain in the ass, and now run it off my #4 exhaust stud, but the temp always stays at 350f no matter what. anyone out there have an idea?

Sounds good, just don't expect to be able to compare readings with others who have a spark plug sensor, your's may read low. Either way the bottom line is trend monitoring, a rapid drastic rise from your around town average when pulling a big hill or spanking a watercooled is telling you to back off a little
