Bruce's Bang Bus
« on: April 26, 2004, 04:16:19 PM »
Well Sat was a busy day at Airspeed, Bruce (The President of Bang Bus International)LOL  droped by and instaled the new Airspeed lowered beam, Lowered the back, new wheels and a few other things.
This thing is canned! I dont have a before shot but it was aprox a 8\" drop in the rear (it had a bad rake before)and 6 in the front.Still rides nice and  finaly turns some heads

After this was all done it was off on a maiden road trip to Squamish in the two busses. Will post a few pic's later.
Looking Good Bruce.

WOW,

Damn....

So if 'someone was to have the same front & rear height, could this person have 2 adults in the front, say 220lbs each, and 6 whinning 12-14 year olds seated in the back(560 lbs)????

What do ya think???

Or is that too low...

Plus braking at 60 mph!

Not that this person drives that irresponsible, especially with other peoples kids and all...

There is no problem with getting out or speed bumps (just gotta go slow) With the front and rear bump stops trimmed it rides nice, Its firm and a little bouncy but hey thats what a lowrider is all about.

Hey 76,

If you are looking for an extra beam....
I was at Hansk's last weekend,
Besides many, many cars/parts he has a 77 Westy sitting at the side of his house, it also has an 091 tranny...

He will not be undersold!!!

Hope this helps...

Well , if your thinking about doing the beam swap, make sure you set aside a good weekend or a few nights. I made sure I had every piece before i tackled the big job. I recommend having new ball joints pressed in, getting some new shocks and checking every other thing. It took me about eight hours but I had done a similar process to two other buses so I was familar with the job. Having a second pair of hands always helps. Thanks Geoff and Jim for the use of Airspeed for the swap!!!!!!!!
