Decided to celebrate my birthday Sat with a trip to the Emergency Ward at VGH! I don't remember much about the bike accident but have a few reminders: broken clavicle, broken scapula, 7 broken ribs, punctured lung (partially collasped), possible small fracture C-1 vertebrae, concussion (out cold for 15+ minutes). During the hospital stay they did a Cat Scan but no x-rays. Went to my GP yesterday and he wanted pictures since he didn't like the way my shoulder looked. So today I found out that I have a nasty broken clavicle with two large bone spurs (will try to post pics/x-rays later). The bones are no where close to each other and it looks like I am going to be someones' dissection project sooner than later. Oh well there goes work for the summer.....

I've talked to Alp a couple of times about this, and he has no idea what happened. I suspect he was hit from the side or behind, otherwise he'd have recollection of a car coming at him.
The strange thing is that the stupid VPD say they have no record of the incident. Wonder who called the ambulance then? Tow truck?

back home now with a little extra hardware! All things seemed to go well. Oxycontins work too well, will just stick to Tylenol #3.
