Utah or bust
« on: April 16, 2010, 11:59:37 PM »
Disclaimer: Non Vw. But a road trip anyway. Off tomorrow with my buddy for Utah to pick up a '67 Dodge Cornett. He's been looking for one of these for a while. He's picking me up at 4am so I am questioning staying up 'till 11pm drinking Guiness. Earlier today  I was at the top of Whistler Mtn looking at the Coast Mtn range. Should be a change of scenery by tommorrow this time. 928 miles. 16 hours. one way.  wtf Plan on being back Monday morn to bring it across the border. I'll take some pics.

So we made it. 3001 km round trip. Drove all day Sat. 15 hrs. One Province and four states in one day. (B.C. Wash. Oregon, Idaho, Utah) Car was as advertised. Super solid and zero rust. Started right up and we took it for a spin. Sun. mornings the guy selling the car has his buddy's over for Boozy Coffee's and bench racing. They called it church. A little different than most church's in Utah. They got a kick out of us driving "all the way from British Columbia." (Insert Utah accent) I could tell some of the guy's had to think about where that was. Stayed in Yakima Sun. night and imported the car Mon. around noon. Home by 1pm. Here's some pics.

Outside Yakima 10am

Leaving Logan, Utah.
