Proud dad post!
« on: February 12, 2010, 06:46:20 AM »
Just thought I'd be a proud dad for a moment.

My oldest daughter is going to be performing in the opening ceremonies of the olympics. All I can say (so I don't get her in trouble), watch for her after the parade of athletes. There will be some large maple leaves on the stage and shortly after she will run out in a group of dancers. Watch for BIG red hair and Irish white skin  ;D

that's great!! congrats to your daughter!!! she must have had a blast. what a great accomplishment!

i only caught the second half of the opening ceremonies (so i missed her performance)...and even tho i'm not that fond of all the related shenanigans surrounding the olympics (i wont get into that here  ;)) i have to say that that show was top notch!! i think they hit every mark and that every spectator got more than they were expecting. a special congrats to the athletes, artists, dancers, musicians, volunteers and organizers that were involved in that ceremony.
