Don't do it! (just kidding) I've found greyhound was a good way to go if you dropped it off at their depot. They've even taken a pallet from me before. That or the back end of a moving truck coming out here. Problem is you need to talk to someone in person who's saying a truck leaves a certain spot on Tuesday... Can save you $$ that way if you get lucky

Greyhound won't take anything over 100 lbs last time I looked...

Hmmm you're right! I guess it was just a bare block I shipped with them. I checked UPS and they'll only do 150 lbs per package too.

im positive  the linehaul trucking comanies such as TransX, H&R transport ,Bison ,VAN KAM,  northern cartage, etc etc are all competitive  and  without doubt the cheapest way to ship heavy weights province to province. VAN-KAM are good and BC based . do some leg work and save a few bucks, drop it off at there depot in ON and pic it up at the local depot in BC .
many of them are  interlinked  ie ,they use the same warehouse and trailers , you pay one company to deliver goods and the next company going that way takes the loaded trailer to the destination . It's fast and trackable . be safe and pay a few bucks for insurance .

If you are going to consider a line haul company, consider Day and Ross.  I found them to be the cheapest shipping 700 lbs of stuff from New Brunswick to BC.
