anyone here ever converted a waterboxer into an aircooled beetle motor? was it brutual? where did you put the oil cooler?

I think Cam knows something about a project with waterboxer converted to oil cool engine. It was posted on this site about a year or longer ago.

all this info is making me want to scrap the idea of an oxyboxer. as cool as it be to have in my beetle, i think by the time the dust settles a nice 69x94 beetle motor would be cheaper. thanks for the links though! PDT_Armataz_01_37
