i've got some questions though. is that the dirts original colour, or has it been resprayed? i know the dirt is from a 54 barndoor, but will it fit in my 57 kombi? also, you wouldnt happen to have some moss lying around would you? i've been looking for some to add to my patina-look '67.

I got lotsa good response.  

I'm going to keep that dirt for sure, it smells soo wierd.  Soo good (ahem).   I know that VW's lose that wierd VW smell, so if my BD ever loses it, I'll sprinkle this around.  Or make an air freshner.

Also, I'm keeping it because my kick panel screws are in there somewhere!  I have to PAN that dirt!

Don't laugh!  Restoring a BD is TOTALLY different than restoring anything else.  I have some type of 'moral' responsibility (ha!).
