Thanks for the post.
May Steve Rest In Peace knowing that his collection is past on to fellow VW Enthusiasts.  He was very passionate about VW`s!

I remember meeting Steve and talking with him, when he was alive.

I had been in touch with Steve's brother previously.. unfortunately there was nothing left I have been on the lookout for :(  Otherwise I would have headed down for sure.

So.. wanna hear about some scores!

I don't think anyone left there unhappy. There were a lot of great deals. At the beginning of the day they announced everyone could take any wheels and tires that they wanted (there were stacks and stacks). Complete beetles selling for $25. Decent Ghias for around $300. vwguy made out like a bandit :D. There was a complete liscensed driving fiberglass dune buggy that sold for $1400. Everything came with titles. Solid Oval project for $800. Tons of tools (there was an Empi flycutting tool a lot of people were hot after in a really sweet old Empi box). Everything except for the cars were sold in large lots, so after everything was sold there was lots of trading and reselling. It was entertaining to say the least. There may still be some deals to be had. I think everyone has about ten days to collect their stuff and I'm sure a lot of stuff will be left behind.
