Spindle locking nuts question.
« on: September 12, 2009, 12:06:55 AM »
So im moving to a new place on sunday and have to get my car off of jack stands. Its a 1960 beetle with 4x130 complete front disk brake conversion and dropped spindles. Now i needed a few bits and pieces to put it all together so that i could bolt the wheels up and tow the car out of this house.

Since i had no spindle nuts i purchased these which according to CIP1 are the correct ones for my application, however when i went to thread them on to the spindle they are to large.

Am i doing something wrong ?

Those are for k&l when u get rid of the double nuts. U need the stock ball joint style and make sure u have the stock ball joint thrust washers. Orig are best as the last ones from cip were too large and would not locate in the spindle notch
