« on: August 26, 2009, 04:48:01 PM »
Anyone had a fuel oil tank dug up and removed from their yard? I have to get one removed before I can get my homeowners insurance renewed. It is fricken spendy for sure so I would like to have someone reputable come out.

my co-worker rented a mini-excavator from a rentel center, then tossed it in the back of his truck and sold it for scrap to the local crusher. cost him the rental and a days effort. so he told me....

Yeah, I thought about that ,but the insurance company needs proof it was done properly, and that means permit$. I don't want to be sued when I sell this house in a couple of years.

that sucks. You insurance company will have a list of trusted oil tank remediation experts.
I hope its not leaking then the cost can go way up.
